General Services and Agreement

By requesting or booking services with Sunrise Handyman Services, you agree to these terms. We provide residential handyman and related services as described in each individual quote or work order.

Communications and Text Messages

By providing your mobile number when requesting a quote or booking a job, you consent to receive transactional text messages related to that job, including appointment confirmations and “on my way” notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for assistance.

Payment and Refund Policy

• Invoices: Deposits and final payment terms will be stated on each invoice or work agreement.

• Deposits: All project deposits are strictly non-refundable. Deposits secure your position on the schedule and cover the upfront procurement of project materials.

• Refund Exceptions: If a project is canceled prior to material purchase, or if procured materials can be safely returned to the supplier without penalty, a partial refund may be issued. Any exceptions to this policy are evaluated on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of Sunrise Handyman Services.

Site Access and Client Responsibilities

• Power and Utilities: Clients must provide clear access to the work area, including a functioning electrical outlet for operating necessary power tools.

• Work Vehicles: Clients are expected to make reasonable parking accommodations for a primary work vehicle to ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading.

• Debris Disposal: Sunrise Handyman Services does not haul away or dispose of project debris unless explicitly agreed upon in the written job description. If debris disposal is included in the scope of work, reasonable disposal and haul-away fees will apply.

Safety, Conduct, and Minors

• Supervision of Minors: To protect both the client and the contractor, a legally responsible adult must be physically and visibly present inside the home at all times if minors are on the property. Under no circumstances will Sunrise Handyman Services personnel remain on site, continue work, or retain access to the home if left alone with a minor. If the supervising adult must leave the premises for any reason, all work will immediately halt and the contractor will exit the property until the adult returns.

• Firearms and Open Carry: While individual rights are respected, the open carry or visible display of firearms by anyone on the property is strictly prohibited while Sunrise Handyman Services personnel are on site. Violation of this policy will result in the immediate cancellation of the project at the contractor's sole discretion, with the client remaining responsible for the balance of all work completed up to that point.

• Zero Tolerance for Abuse: Any verbal, physical, or threatening abuse directed toward Sunrise Handyman Services personnel will result in the immediate termination of the project. If a project is terminated under these conditions, the client remains legally responsible for the balance of all work completed up to that point.

Scope of Work and Unforeseen Conditions

• Change Orders: Estimates reflect only the explicitly documented scope of work. Any additional requests or modifications will require a formal change order and a price adjustment.

• Hidden Damage: If unforeseen conditions (such as rot, existing electrical issues, or hidden structural defects) are discovered once work begins, work will temporarily halt, and a revised estimate will be provided before proceeding.

Limitation of Liability and Insurance Exemptions

• Workers' Compensation: Sunrise Handyman Services operates as a strictly Workers' Compensation exempt entity under Florida law.

• Pre-existing Defects: The business is not liable for pre-existing structural, plumbing, or electrical defects on the property.

• Communications: Sunrise Handyman Services is not liable for delays, interruptions, or undelivered text messages caused by carriers or third-party networks.
